HBCU All-Star Baseball game in Atlanta, GA

Hi Eagles!

There will be an HBCU All-Star baseball event and game at Truist Park/Braves Stadium June 1-3, 2022.

The company responsible is minority owned and former baseball players and coaches of baseball, currently. This year they have partnered with the Atlanta Braves. Their goals are to increase African American interest and participation in baseball and increase the exposure of HBCU baseball players.

Currently only 7% of Major League Baseball players are African/Black American, which is tremendously down from the 1990s era when there were ~30% African/Black Americans in the League.

The host organization would like overwhelming support from HBCUs alumni to attend and support the event and game, etc.

This is the second year they have had the HBCU All-Star baseball game. Last year it was in Hoover, AL.

They are offering Suites/Box seating at the game for $3,000 for 25 tickets, which includes food and drinks, etc. More to come on possibly getting a suite for the Chapter.

General admissions tickets are $25.

In closing, they would love to at least fill the lower level at the Braves stadium, which is close to 10,000 seats. Therefore, invite as many people as you can to attend.

Here's the website with more information and see the flyer attached.

Sincerely, Kevin Powell '97 President
