Ivan Dixon, a 1954 graduate of NCCU
died Sunday in Charlotte at the age of
76. Dixon was one of the top black actors
of the 1950s and 60s and his credits include,
A Raison in the Sun, A Patch of Blue, The Spook Who Sat By the Door, Nothing But a Man, and several episodes of The Twilight Zone. He is best known for playing Staff Sergeant James Kinchloe on the TV show Hogan's Heroes. For a while, NCCU's Theater group was known as the

Justin Goodson

Goodson, NCCU's starting third baseman is the son of Ronald N. Goodson (class of 1970) and Constance F. Goodson (class of 1976) of Stone Mountain. His grand slam helped the Eagles sweep a double header over VSU. Justin is one of only two Atlantan's on the baseball team, along with Riverdale's Kurt Wilson.
